The National General Maritime Transport Company actively participated in the Second Arab-Hellenic Maritime Conference, organized by the Arab-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and Development under the theme “Cooperation between the Two Shores of the Sea,” held on June 25 and 26, 2025, in Athens.
The company’s participation in this conference stems from its pioneering role in the maritime transport sector and its efforts to enhance cooperation with Greek and Arab partners in the fields of maritime navigation, port infrastructure development, and the exchange of expertise in modern transportation technologies. The company was represented at the conference by a high-level delegation headed by Mr. Mohamed El Amin, Chairman of the Company’s Board of Directors, and including several members of the Board of Directors and directors of the company’s departments and offices.
During the conference, working sessions discussed opportunities for cooperation between Greece and Arab countries, including North Africa, the Gulf Cooperation Council, and the Levant, with a focus on maritime industries, supply chains, green energy, and port modernization. During the conference, Eng. Mohamed El Amin, Chairman of the Board of Directors, delivered a speech in which he emphasized the company’s efforts to move forward in implementing its strategic vision and seeking international partners to develop the fleet. He also emphasized the company’s commitment to expanding mutual and joint cooperation with Mediterranean countries. This was a reference to Libyan-Greek relations, and Libya’s role in the maritime transport sector in the region by strengthening partnerships with neighboring countries.

The company’s delegation emphasized the importance of this participation in enhancing its international presence and exploring new investment opportunities, particularly in the field of sustainable maritime transport and modern navigation technology. During the conference, bilateral meetings were also held with a number of Greek and Arab companies to discuss avenues for joint cooperation.

It is worth noting that the conference was attended by a select group of businessmen, government officials, and maritime sector specialists from Greece and the Arab world, providing an ideal environment for exchanging expertise and building strategic partnerships.
